About Club Photo Day
Club Photo Day organises official sports team photographs and individual player portraits at a dedicated photo-day venue. Players arrive in their club kit for a staged portrait session, with backdrops and background removal used for the agreed presentation. FotoPal Sports supports the family gallery and online ordering after photography and quality checks.
The idea is straightforward: a committee should be able to understand the process before committing to a date. Families should know how they will see and order photographs. The person organising the day should have a useful plan, rather than a collection of scattered messages.
Our proposition is Shoot today. Order tomorrow online with the app. It describes the photo-to-ordering journey. Prints are produced and delivered after ordering, with the timing and arrangements agreed separately.
A direct conversation about your club
We welcome enquiries from clubs across Australia, including interstate enquiries. Share your location, approximate numbers, venue and preferred dates. We confirm availability, travel arrangements and the service scope for each booking; sending an enquiry does not reserve a date or guarantee coverage in every location.
Club Photo Day is operated by JR Photo and Video Pty Ltd, ABN 15 677 761 787. The business is owned by Jeff Richardson, whose broader photography work is at JR Photo and Video. This service focuses on sports clubs, their coordinators and families.
The photographs currently illustrating this website are licensed stock photographs, identified as illustrations. They are not presented as our team’s completed assignments, clients or staff. We do not use another club photographer’s portfolio, reviews or business history to suggest experience that has not been supplied for this site.
Start with the coordinator’s real questions
A club coordinator needs to know whether a proposed date can work, how many teams can be included and what the venue needs to provide. They may also be managing training, shared facilities, volunteers and a presentation deadline.
That is why the first enquiry asks for practical estimates, not a completed player roster. An adult contact, sport, approximate team and player numbers, preferred date and venue suburb provide a starting point. Children’s names, birth dates, photographs and private family circumstances are not needed in the website enquiry.
After the first conversation, the club and our team can agree the photo format, session plan, responsibilities and commercial scope. If an existing photographer agreement is still in place, that belongs in the discussion too. A new marketing channel should make the decision clearer, not encourage anyone to ignore an existing commitment.
Make the day understandable for team managers
The committee may approve the booking, but team managers are often the people who explain the day. They need a clear uniform notice, arrival plan, session order and contact for changes. They also need to know who approves team names and how an absent player is handled.
Our club photo-day guides are written around those tasks. They include schedules, venue questions, volunteer roles, family information and ordering guidance. The examples are planning tools, not promises that every club uses the same setup or finishes in the same number of minutes.
A useful guide should help you make a decision. It should not turn a simple question into a compulsory administrative exercise. Use the parts that fit your club and confirm the actual plan with our team.
Use FotoPal Sports to connect the stages
FotoPal Sports provides the family gallery and ordering workflow behind the offer. The studio checks photographs before opening the season’s gallery. Families receive access information and can choose from the catalogue set for that season.
A family gallery is different from a public club gallery. Keep access messages private and use the studio’s support route for access changes or corrections. Permission to be photographed, access for ordering and permission for public promotion should be considered separately.
The app does not remove the need for clear club communication. Families still need to know what happens after the shoot, which email to expect, how to ask for help and when ordered products will be available. Our packages and ordering page explains those stages.
Be clear about what is agreed
The date, products, prices, any club-funded items, delivery arrangements and other commercial details are confirmed for the booking. Ask for the catalogue and inclusions for your club so the committee and families can make a clear decision.
The FotoPal journey brings the stages together: a planned photo day, checked photographs and a clear route for families to choose and order online. Discuss how that workflow will fit your club’s next season.
Plan your next season
If your club is planning official team and player photographs, enquire about your club photo day. A preferred date and approximate numbers are enough to begin. If you already have a family gallery or order, use the FotoPal sign-in and help links so your question follows the appropriate route.
The aim is a season’s photographs that are worth keeping, with a process everyone can understand.
